Wendy Pucci

Wendy is a Rhode Island native. She self identifies as a "late bloomer" when it comes to fitness. For her prior career, Wendy worked in the Culinary Arts as a private chef aboard yachts; at ski chalets in the Alps; and on English Estates. She and her husband Lenny worked as a Captain and Cook team on charters cruising the East Coast, Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico.


After 16 years of taking care of everyone else, Wendy retired from her culinary career in 2006. She had her first taste for Pilates Tower and Cardio Barre studying under Tonka Cascais at ProPilates in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. She discovered LaGree Fitness after moving cross country to West Seattle, WA and was quickly hooked!


Moving cross country AGAIN 3 years later to Rhode Island, Wendy grew frustrated with the lack of places to work out so she built a small home studio. Finally, in 2017, she enrolled in the Comprehensive Instructor Training Course with Balanced Body Master Trainer Zayna Gold at Boston Body Pilates; and works with Maria Andresino at Mind 2 Body Fitness to help mentor her through her apprentice hours and build on the skills she already has to become an amazing Teacher! 


Wendy is a breast cancer survivor -- twice -- which makes her a great resource for post-mastectomy clients (particularly with lat flap.) Having only one lat can be challenging at times but it doesn't seem to stop her -- and puts her at a great advantage in working with these clients! She has completed three, 60-mile 3-day walks to raise awareness and money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation!


While working under the tutelage of Maria and Zayna towards her full certification, Wendy lives in Little Compton with her husband Lenny and their two Shiba Inus, Sushi and Cosmo.


Wendy says: “Pilates makes me feel strong and has dramatically improved my posture ... while Barre has brought muscles back to my legs and lifted my booty off the floor!”

A big congratulations to Wendy who last year passed her Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates Certification from Boston Body Pilates.  That’s over 500 hours of learning, observing, self-practice, and teaching over the last 2 years! We are thrilled to have such a skilled new teacher!
